Privacy
Last updated 1 September 2026. This page may be updated; it is not a substitute for legal advice.
This Privacy Policy explains how Lumiko Living (“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal information when you visit https://lumiko-living.com, browse collections, apply for a wholesale account, or write to us.
Who we are
We are Lumiko Living. We sell seasonal home textiles and décor to trade buyers (wholesale) in the EU and the US. This website does not take consumer retail orders. Visitors may browse collections and apply for wholesale, or order through Faire. Wholesale prices are not published on this site.

What we collect
We only collect what we need to run the site and fulfil an enquiry or wholesale application. Depending on how you use the site, that may include:
Wholesale application. If you use the wholesale apply form, we receive the fields you submit. As planned, those are: your name, shop name, email, country, shop type (for example independent, concept, garden, or online), collections of interest, indicative first-order range, and any notes you add.
Contact and other forms. Name, email, reason for writing, and your message.
Faire. If you order or apply through Faire, Faire collects and processes information under its own terms and privacy policy. We receive what Faire shares with us as a brand (typically shop and order details). Faire is a separate controller for the data it collects on its own platform.
Technical data. IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and similar logs that Squarespace may generate to operate and secure the site.
Cookies. See “Cookies” below.
We do not ask for special-category data (health, religion, and similar), and we do not intend to collect it.
Why we use it
We use personal information to:
review wholesale applications and, if we work together, manage a trade account;
reply to emails and form messages;
operate, secure, and troubleshoot the website;
keep records we need for tax, accounting, and legal claims;
send account or application messages you would expect as part of an application or a trade relationship.
We will not sell your personal information.
We do not run a marketing email list unless you later subscribe, and there is no newsletter form on the home page. We will not add you to a marketing list in any other way unless we have a lawful basis to do so and you can opt out.
Legal bases (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK, or another place that uses similar rules, we rely on one or more of these bases:
Contract — to consider a wholesale application you submitted, or to manage a trade account if we work together.
Legitimate interests — to run and secure the site, prevent fraud, and keep ordinary business records, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
Legal obligation — to keep invoices and other records required by tax or commercial law.
Consent — where we ask for it (for example non-essential cookies, if we add them later). You can withdraw consent at any time.
[Whether UK GDPR applies as a controller established in the UK, or only as a service offered to UK users, is to be confirmed with counsel.]
Cookies
We may use essential cookies so the site works — for example a session or security settings. These are needed for the service you request. We do not use cart or checkout cookies; this site does not take consumer retail orders.
We do not currently run a separate analytics or advertising cookie programme. If we add analytics later, we will update this page, describe the tool, and obtain consent where the law requires it before those cookies are set.
You can control cookies in your browser. Blocking essential cookies may stop forms from working.
Who we share it with (processors)
We use other companies to run the site and our email. They only receive what they need to provide their service:
Squarespace — website hosting and forms.
Google Workspace — email we send and receive at @lumiko-living.com.
Faire — when you use Faire to browse, apply, or order wholesale. Faire is a separate controller for the data it collects on its own platform.
Payment and shipping partners — [to be named when carriers or payment tools for wholesale orders are confirmed]; they receive what they need to take payment or deliver an order.
We do not list certifications we do not hold. We do not claim a completed transfer-impact assessment or a specific adequacy decision beyond what those providers publish about their own services.
[Additional processors — to be added if used: warehouse, fulfilment, accounting, or a future analytics tool.]
How long we keep it
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, and then as long as the law requires us to keep records.
Orders and invoices: for the period required by applicable tax and commercial law. [Exact retention period — to be confirmed with counsel.]
Wholesale applications: while we review them and, if we open an account, for the life of that account plus a reasonable period afterwards. Unsuccessful applications are kept only as long as needed to handle follow-up and prevent abuse. [Period — to be confirmed.]
Contact messages: for a reasonable time so we can reply and keep a record of the conversation. [Period — to be confirmed.]
Server and security logs: for a short operational period, unless we need them longer for a security incident.
When we no longer need the data, we delete it or irreversibly anonymise it.
International transfers
Our site is hosted by Squarespace and our email is handled by Google. Those providers, and Faire if you use it, may process information outside the country where you live — including outside the EEA and the UK.
Where a transfer needs a legal mechanism, we rely on the arrangements those providers describe in their own terms (for example Standard Contractual Clauses), together with any other safeguard they publish. [Our own transfer map and any extra clauses — to be confirmed with counsel. No adequacy or certification claim is made here.]
Your rights in the EU and the UK
If GDPR or UK GDPR applies to you, you may have the right to:
access a copy of your personal data;
correct inaccurate data;
ask us to erase data in certain cases;
restrict or object to certain processing;
receive data you provided to us in a portable format;
withdraw consent where we rely on it;
lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
To use these rights, email info@lumiko-living.com. We may need to confirm it is you before we act. Some requests have legal limits — for example we may keep an invoice even if you ask us to delete other data.
[Lead supervisory authority and any UK representative — to be added if required.]
California and other US notices
If you live in California or another US state with a consumer privacy law, you may have rights to know, delete, or correct certain personal information, and to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” as those laws define those words.
This is a general notice, not a completed CCPA / CPRA (or other state-law) attestation. We have not published a formal “Do Not Sell or Share” statement because we have not finished that legal review. We do not sell personal information for money. If you want to know what we hold, ask us to delete it, or raise a US-state privacy request, write to info@lumiko-living.com.
[Full US state-by-state notice, if required — to be added after counsel review.]
Children
Our site is for adults browsing collections or applying for a shop. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16, or under 13 in the United States. If you believe a child has sent us data, email info@lumiko-living.com and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The “last updated” date at the top will change. For a material change we will add a short note on this page. The current published version is the one that applies.
